Dr. Pearson’s Educational and Training History
Dr. Pearson has been working in private practice since 2005. Dr. Pearson attended the University of Florida where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. Dr. Pearson then attended the George Washington University where she received both her Masters of Philosophy and Doctorate of Philosophy degrees in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Psychology.
Dr. Pearson completed her internship training at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital where she worked in 3 inpatient units, including a statewide inpatient treatment facility, a crisis unit, and a juvenile addictions and receiving facility. She also worked on a multidisciplinary Autism evaluation team and provided psychological evaluations and therapy in an outpatient clinic at the hospital. Dr. Pearson completed her post-doctoral fellowship working at a private practice in Florida, which she later joined as an associate. At this practice Dr. Pearson performed neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, disability assessments, and psychotherapy. She also led social skills groups and provided parent-training and school consultation.

Dr. Pearson provides psychological and neuropsychological evaluations to assess children, adolescents and adults for learning disabilities, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and mood disorders.
Therapy
Dr. Pearson specializes in the treatment of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, anger management issues, and behavior problems utilizing both individual and family therapy. Therapy services are offered for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Pearson utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques, which address dysfunctional emotions, maladaptive behaviors and cognitive processes through a number of goal-oriented procedures.
ADHD Coaching
Together with you, Dr. Pearson will address practical issues such as managing time, maintaining focus, and becoming overall more effective in both your personal and professional life. She will help you to focus on understanding your needs and setting goals for creating new behavior patterns.
Social Skills Groups
Dr. Pearson enjoys hosting social skills groups aimed at helping children to develop and improve coping skills, problem solving strategies, and anger management skills. Each week a new skill is introduced and practiced through role plays, interactive activities, and games. Children will build skills, confidence, and self esteem while having fun and making new friends.
